8 cups Oats (Oats by nature are gluten free but are easily contaminated in processing so buy gluten-free specifically, like Bob's mills brand)
2 cups Nuts and or seeds
Optional: ½ to 1 cup ground Flax meal
½ cup water
1 ½ cups Brown sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 - 4 tsp Vanilla
Dried Fruit preference
Combine water, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla in a bowl and set aside. Mix by hand, oats, nuts, and seeds, then add mixture of (water, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla)
Special Note: While mixing think of happy and loving thoughts. Especially thoughts of how people are going to feel as they are eating it.
Optional – Toast 1 cup almonds 8 min. and 1 cup pecans 5 min. prior to mixing with oats.
Spread on 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Pat down.Bake at 250 for 50 – 60 min. or until toasted. Half way through, switch positions of the cookie sheets to avoid prolonged hot spots in the oven. Add dried fruit (raisons, craisons, cherries, dates, etc.) after baking. Let cool before storing.
